Wouldn't it be fun to have re-blooming lilies in your garden? Did you know that the University of Minnesota has had lilium re-blooming in their fields in October? If you're curious to learn more about this fascinating possibility, don't miss our next meeting. We've invited Dr. David C. Zlesak, Assistant Professor of Horticulture at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls to share his findings with us. Dr. Zlesak studied the inheritance of this flowering trait in lilies for his Ph.D. research within the Flower Breeding and Genetics Laboratory of Dr. Neil Anderson at the U of M. He'll be bringing a PowerPoint pictorial of these cutting-edge lilies for us to see.
Our educational meetings are free and open to the public! Visit our Calendar of Events page for more information.
